Myung Jin
Myung Jin is a design studio and distributor of fine woven upholstery and
drapery fabrics sold exclusively to the interior design trade.
Founded in 1982 by Ruth Friend (d.b.a. Myung Jin), the company
originally designed and produced hand woven chenille in house as well as
cottons from India. Myung Jin is represented in 13 design
showrooms in the United States and is recognized as an innovative leader
in woven design. Myung Jin's interest in historical, ethnic and
classical design, along with their technical knowledge as weavers
combine to create a collection with depth in textural combinations and a
color palate that is natural and contemporary.
Appropriate for both residential and hospitality use, Myung Jin was among the first
handweaving studios to bring chenille into
the mainstream of the interior design market. Innovation in
handweaving technology has been key to maintaining timely production and
quality.
